The Good Food Box Program is a community-based initiative run by Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes. The program’s goals are to improve access to affordable, fresh and healthy food for all citizens of the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Each month, anyone can purchase a Good Food Box, which showcases the season’s finest fresh fruits and vegetables from as many local growers as possible.
A large box (or bag) bursting with flavour and nutrition costs just $20. In addition to the assortment of fresh produce, each month’s box comes with recipes prepared specifically for that month’s contents.
Customers must pre-register by the first Tuesday of the month.
Boxes are available for pickup in Lindsay on the third Tuesday of the month at Cambridge Street United Church, 61 Cambridge St. N., Lindsay (1 – 4 p.m.)
